Okay, I returned to the Rocky Mountain Arsenal to recollect water samples after the first sample was fried in the sun! This web site is about this new sampling!!

I returned to the arsenal on Saturday July 17, 2004! I took water samples from two places from Lake Ladora and one place from Lake Mary! Check the PDF Map below; and the places I took them from are in the closeups from the pictures below!

Findings from the Microscope at Various days from the Rocky Mountain Arsenal!!
Okay, after the first two days of Observing Water from Lake Ladora and Lake Mary from the Rocky Mountain Arsenal Wildlife Preserve, I spiked the samples with Carolina Protozoa Tablets and boiled Hay and wheat seed solution to see what organisms I could bring out! Here are the results from this proceedure!
As a General Rule, I found Lake Ladora to have a much more sandy bottom; while Lake Mary seemed to have a much more muddy and rocky bottom! I saw a lot of Gastrotrichs, Daphnia, Various sizes and shapes of Ostracoda in both lakes! There were plannaria in Lake Ladora; but I did not see any in Lake Mary! There were a lot of snails in Lake Mary ; but few in Lake Ladora! For all the frogs, fish, ducks and geese in the two lakes, I did not see any leeches like I did in the 52nd and Dahlia water!
